Dear friends,

Let me share with you an off-the-cuff list of my favourite fifteen books. I’ve recently prepared this list for a group of adult learners of English. It begins with some simple ones. And I have avoided classic literature here because I guess an average English language learner will find it difficult to appreciate it. Here’s the list:

  1. Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach
  2. The Room on the Roof by Ruskin Bond
  3. How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
  4. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey
  5. Who Moved My Cheese? by Dr. Spencer Johnson
  6. My Experiments with Truth by M. K. Gandhi
  7. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling
  8. Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter
  9. Megaliving by Robin Sharma
  10. The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom
  11. The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank
  12. Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl
  13. 21 Lessons for the 21st Century by Yuval Noah Harari
  14. Sophie’s World by Jostein Gaarder
  15. The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand

Happy Reading!

Best wishes,

Dharmendra
